Here at The Shorty we have a strong focus on community involvement and relationships. We sponsor numerous events, social clubs and sporting teams. Each week we hold our HUGE meat & vege raffles which go towards helping these sporting teams with their uniforms, equipment, registrations and more.

Tokens of Appreciation 2025 – We want to help!
We're gearing up for another round of our Tokens of Appreciation fundraiser, kicking off in early March at the Shortland Hotel! This 6-week event aims to strengthen our connection with the local community by supporting 3 local charities.
Here’s how it works:
We’ve got a $1000 prize pool to share among three local charities.
Every time someone buys a main meal, they’ll receive a token.
Customers place their token in the charity bucket they want to support.
At the end of the campaign, the prize pool is divided based on the number of tokens each charity receives. The more tokens in towards your bucket, the bigger the donation out of the prize pool.
We’d love for your organisation to be one of the charities we support this year! If you’re a local community group and want to be part of this amazing initiative, please send us your letter of interest!
How to Apply: Send your application letter to us to be considered as one of the three charities we’ll support during this 6-week campaign. Explain to why you would like to be considered and what the donation would be going towards.

Shortland Rugby League Football Club
Shorty Hotel has been sponsoring the Shorty Devils for over 40 years. The Club has always been involved within the Shorty Community and now with the addition of their women's team, the Club continues to grow every year. Blue drinks are our favourite part of their post-win celebrations.
